Gaile has a Bachelor of Education from the University of Saskatchewan, Master of Arts from Athabasca University in Alberta and a certificate in Canadian Research from the National Institute for Genealogical Studies. She is currently pursuing a PhD in History with a focus on genealogy. She has extensive experience in research and written reports, as well as the ability to reach out to other experts in countries where the language has become a barrier to family history researchers. Gaile’s specialty is in military history, family history and Western Canadian settlement. She also does workshops for those who would like to learn more about family history research.
G. Wotherspoon Genealogy Services conducts research into family histories to provide an accurate progression of relationships from the present generation to past generations placed in historical context. Gaile also give talks to a variety of organizations to encourage others to either directly, or through this company, research and preserve their family history. In addition to this, she encourages families to take a family history tour for small groups who want to do on the ground research, and find out more about where their family lived.
